Libreto is a mecano-humanist serif designed for sharp, reliable reproduction across inkjet, laser, photocopier, and risograph printing. Its low contrast and strategically placed ink traps prevent smudging, while a tall x-height and open counters enhance legibility for immersive reading. Inspired by theatrical script typefaces, it features lapidary strokes, rounded vertices, and teardrop terminals for a distinctive yet practical look.

With 10 styles—5 Romans and 5 Italics—Libreto offers over 770 characters, including small caps, multiple figure styles, and case-sensitive punctuation. Ideal for manuscripts, playwriting, and editorial design, it brings clarity and personality to print-focused projects.

Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury,
Signifying nothing.|
This speech shows Macbeth's complete despair. The death of his wife, his crumbling power, and the inevitability of his downfall make him see life as meaningless—just an illusion, fleeting and insignificant. The imagery of the "brief candle" and the "poor player" reinforces the idea that life is temporary and ultimately inconsequential.|
